Top 407: Orlando Thrift Stores

Here are five thrift stores in the Orlando area where you can help save the world from fast fashion and grab some cool vintage finds!

Did you know that thrifting saves the world? So, why not embark on becoming a thrifter. You can save the world in your good-old city of Orlando and in most areas in the USA. Fast fashion is one of the major reasons why there is climate change. All those new clothes pile up and end up on the side of a road or in landfills. Besides that, fast fashion produces 10% of all humanity’s carbon emissions.

Thankfully, thrifting is becoming more popular. On TikTok, girls film thrift hauls that showcase what they got from the thrift stores. It becomes a unique experience because you are hunting for something that aligns with your style. Sometimes you even find a style by thrifting because you’re away from all the normal stores where everyone shops. Thrift stores have so many kinds of clothes, shoes, and accessories. It’s possible to even find something that was originally $100 for only $10. Every time you thrift, it’s a different experience even if it’s from the same thrift store.

Below are the top thrift stores in the Orlando area, and each thrift store has its own vibe.

The Owl’s Attic (Winter Park)

Once you step into The Owl’s Attic, you’ll be immersed in all the aesthetic and unique indie vibes. All their items are either secondhand or made by a local designer which is all sustainable. You can even find something from 1920 there, but there are many things from the 90s and 2000s as well. The ‘90s are calling, so if you like to answer that call head on to that store! You’ll be content with what you find! The prices are pretty decent too! You’ll find a nice dress or jacket for only $30. Also, everything there is in excellent condition.

Angel’s Thrift Shop (Deland)

This store is perfect for someone who loves a little hunt. I found a gorgeous enchanting gown for only $9 there. Also, I purchased a white skirt with the American Rag brand (found in Macy’s, so it’s of good quality). On top of the unique items there, it is all so affordable! This is definitely a place to check out.

OMG Thrift (Sanford)

OMG is the phrase that describes this thrift store. There are so many clothes, so I advise that you go there with a lot of time on your hands. You may find something you love in the first minute, but since there are so many items it is always good to go on a hunt. They sell many accessories and home decor as well!

Ms Preppy Pants (Deland)

Preppy Pants is a unique thrift store owned by a former veteran. She will be the first one to greet you, and her charm will make you feel welcomed. The decor from this store is very bright and preppy. The clothes there are very elegant and prices vary.  It is definitely a place to stop by, and it’s located in the fun downtown of Deland. There are many restaurants and boutiques near Preppy Pants.
