When I ask my friends what Pittsburgh topics they would like to know more about, the most popular response is “How to recycle X in Pittsburgh.” I promise that I am working on a longer, through guide to recycling (and reusing) everything in Pittsburgh. (My kitchen counter has been accumulating a random pile of things I need to research how to recycle, and I recently had to stop someone from throwing out growing my pile of recycling research.)
So, I thought this event might be of interest to those who want to learn more about recycling in Pittsburgh.
Kyle Winkler, aka Zero Waste Wrangler, used to be the Recycling Supervisor for the City of Pittsburgh and is now a waste wrangler who works with small and medium businesses on ways to manage their waste in a more sustainable manner.
Friendship Perk & Brew, the coffee shop/bar located in the heart of Friendship, hosts a weekly Tuesday night speakers series. Kyle Winkler is the speaker for this week and will be discussing recycling and waste.
