As we celebrate National Hot Dog Day in July, we wanted you to choose the best hot dogs in Orlando! See our favorites and what we’ve found out about each Orlando weiner spot. We tried Chicago Dogs, Spicy Chili Dogs, Buffalo Dogs, Reuben Dogs, and more! Get your mind out of the mustard, and let’s begin!
Where to Find the Best Hot Dogs in Orlando
Chicago Dog and Co
1113 West SR 436
Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
https://www.chicagodogandco.com
Chicago Dog and Company owners are two sisters born in Chicago and raised in Central Florida. We ordered the Chicago Dog for just $5, a Vienna beef dog, poppy seed bun, pickle spear, yellow mustard, tomato, diced onion and relish. It was an authentic experience and delicious. The hot dog spot in Altamonte Springs also offer tamales, pizza puffs, Chicago poutine, and italian beef sandwiches. Don’t be discouraged by the lines. It’s that good and worth the wait!
The Doghouse
2527 Edgewater Drive
Orlando, FL 32804
http://www.doghouseorlando.com
The Doghouse is tucked away in a great location in College Park, FL. Here we decided to go all out and try the loaded tots plus Buffalo Dog. They add hot sauce and blue cheese crumbles to your hot dog. What a great new taste we’ve never experienced.
The Loaded tots were phenomenal andhighly recommended. The hot dog spot in college park offers some great combinations and is definitely for the more adventurous type. Other options on the menu include the Uh Oh Dog, a hot dog topped with Spaghetti O’s, parmesan cheese, and an herb blend. Another interesting option is the Wild Style, a hot dog topped with Sriracha, bacon, crushed Fritos, and Ranch dressing. They have plain hot dogs for kids, Chicago dogs, Vegan dogs, and more!
Hot Dog Heaven
5355 East Colonial Drive
Orlando, FL 32807
http://www.hotdogheaven.com
At Hot Dog Heaven, it’s the home of the Vienna Beef Co. dog and they have sizes to choose from, regular, spicy, or jumbo. We ordered the Reuban Regular Dog (sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and swiss cheese) and the Jumbo Dog covered in American cheese. We topped it off with a root beer float and now we’re truly in hot dog heaven. An Authentic Chicago Dog is a local favorite and always keeps you coming back for more.
Cupid’s Hot Dogs
420 East Church Street
Suite 117
Orlando, FL 32801
Cupid’s Hot Dogs Orlando
At Cupid’s Hot Dogs in Downtown Orlando, we ordered the chili dog, onion rings, plus a soda. Pictured is also the Reuben with mustard, cheese, and kraut. Recently opened in March, it’s a spot you don’t want to miss. This place is iconic for some great Insta photos, too. All paintings inside and outside by a local Orlando mural artist, @ricone, adds a new look to the Winter Park scene.
Harrell’s Hot Dogs + Cones:
54 West Palm Street
Winter Garden, FL
Harrell’s Hot Dogs is in Winter Garden, FL and located in the heart of downtown. Hot diggity dog, they were so good. We’ll take another Chicago Dog with a side of fries and a cheerwine, please and thanks.
Does this article make you want a hot dog real bad? (Bonus points if you get the movie reference). We think our list is pretty beefy but if your go to weiner spot didn’t make our list of best hot dogs in Orlando, let us know!
