Let the Mardi Gras marathon begin!
Here are our weekend picks for Feb. 22-23:
Fri. Feb. 21, 2020
Greasing of the Poles | Royal Sonesta Hotel | 8 a.m. | Free to attend
This annual tradition always happens the Friday before Mardi Gras Day, where the balcony poles at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street are greased down to keep drunk revelers from climbing up!
A vinyl dance party like no other! From Big Chiefs to Big Beats, to Spy Boys and all that Funky Noise. All the Funky sounds of New Orleans Carnival & then some.
Sat. Feb. 22, 2020
Parade Party | 2 p.m. | Seven Three Distilling Company | Prices vary
Just two blocks off the parade route, Seven Three is throwing an Endymion party! Chef SJ will be back with a phenomenal popup for food, and they’ll be serving up cocktails and selling to-go punches (by the gallon!) for the route. Stop in, grab a bite, and yes, you can use their bathrooms.
Sun. Feb. 23, 2020
Thoth Viewing Party | Reginelli’s Pizza | 10 a.m. | Free to attend, food prices vary
The Krewe of Toth passes right in front of the Magazine Reginelli’s location! They’ll have music, pizza-by-the-slice, drinks, shots, free face glitter, free bathrooms and more.
