Toybox Bistro is part restaurant and part gamers heaven. Owner Bill Brigman has created a restaurant known for its waffle mac and cheese as well as its burgers and sandwiches. As you enjoy your meal, you can look at all of the game and toy collectibles that decorate the space.

The Veggie

What started as a grab-and-go hub is now a sit-down vegan restaurant. The Veggie is known for its Philly Cheese Patty Melt that comes complete with peppers, onions, and vegan cheese. Other highlights include the Buffalo shrimp poboy and the crab-less cake.

Yellowhammer Brewing

The next stop on the Craft Beer Trail is Yellowhammer Brewing. The brewery is known for its German-style lagers, ales, sours, and hazys and features live music and pizza. Co-owner Ethan Conch points out that the craft brew scene in Huntsville is a team effort.

U.S. Space & Rocket Center

Open since 1970, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center has been a beacon for the hopes of space exploration. The center features a world-renowned space camp where you can spend a week living like an astronaut. In addition, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a fun place to learn about space and science and what makes the space program work.

Straight to Ale

This brewery is one of the stops on the Huntsville Craft Beer and Ale Trail, a path of the different breweries in Huntsville. Straight to Ale not only has beer but wine and liquor as well. A fun feature of this spot is the secret speakeasy that comes with its own hidden bar.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is the largest privately owned arts facility in the south. This historic textile mill has been redeveloped into working studios for over two hundred artists, makers, and independent businesses. The center features seven galleries, a theatre, a community garden, event spaces and is a haven for artists and creators.

Burritt on the Mountain

Burritt on the Mountain is a museum that was the former estate of local physician William Burritt. The site features nineteenth-century rural structures and historical re-enactments of Alabama-life of that time.
