Chyna Gibson went to Belle Plaza in New Orleans East to pick up a dress for an upcoming event. Gibson planned to wear the dress to a Mardi Gras party. Later that night, Gibson’s body was found in between two vehicles with multiple gunshot wounds. Less than 48 hours later, the murder of another Black trans performer in the city left people wondering if the two crimes were connected.
