Chef Kay learned to cook starting at the age of seven, and has nurtured her business all the way to features in well-known publications like Forbes. Her Southern food brings back family memories for many of her customers.
Charity of Choice: Serenity Living Transitional Home
This organization assists young women between 18 and 25 who are facing homelessness.
The Market: Pennsylvania Macaroni Company
This beloved neighborhood shop has been serving a variety of specialty products, including their world-famous macaroni, since 1902.
The contestants must cook an appetizer, entree, and dessert with a theme of “Yinz Eats” using the following ingredients:
- Bell pepper
- Chipped meat
Bonus ingredient: Something pickled or brined
The chefs will each be judged on the criteria of taste, creativity and presentation. They will have 45 minutes to create the full three-course meal.
