🎆10…9…8…the final countdown of 2018 is coming!🎉

Bah humbug, Christmas is over. 😩Whether you were naughty or nice, it’s time to look forward to 2019.

Everyone is having after Christmas sales, so it’s a good time to look for that Comic Con costume. Your favorite celebs from The Walking Dead and (deep breath) Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, is coming to town. And there’s still time to dress up and get in that Reveillon Dinner in before the new year at your favorite restaurant!

Most of all, thanks for keeping up with Very Local for our launch this year, and here’s to a great 2019! 🎊

So, where do you go for a Reveillon Dinner, anyways?

Reveillon Dinners are a Creole tradition dating back to the 1800’s, where people would fast Christmas Eve until after midnight mass. Now, restaurants have modernized the tradition, serving a 3-4 course meal of some of their fanciest dishes on the menu. Whether you live in Lakeview, New Orleans East, or the 9th Ward, we’ve got a guide that’ll point you to some of our favorite spots to revel.

Get ready for Comic Con at Drink & Draw ✏️

The new year is kicking off with a bang! Wizard World’s Comic Con is coming to town Jan. 4-6, and actors from The Vampire Diaries, Outlander, and more are coming to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Very Local is bringing a little lagniappe, with a Drink N Draw event. Local artist Ron Domingue and others will be joining us as we have a pint and put our pencils to paper. Free beer. Free snacks. You just bring your sketchbook and creativity!
