Blue Sparrow: bringing global eats to our local streets
Hop onboard; we’re taking Pittsburgh behind the window of Blue Sparrow’s food truck. Plot Twist: it’s a 1950s Greyhound bus.

April 11, 2019
We’re excited to kick off a video series that takes Pittsburghers behind the scenes and onboard some of our local food trucks. Our first spotlight is on Luke Cypher – the founder and personality behind Blue Sparrow.
Luke’s team serves up globally-inspired street food with a local twist.
We sent videographer Matt Dayak out for a ride-along to capture the sights, smells, sounds and stories behind what makes Blue Sparrow such an eclectic part of the neighborhoods it interacts with.
For 2019, Blue Sparrow has scaled up from their traditional food truck to add a vintage Greyhound Bus to the mobile food fleet. You can find both the truck (and the bus) parked and serving up the good stuff at various locations around Pittsburgh.
