In this episode, Kinga meets up with Jessie Fiacco to help her get back in touch with herself and rediscover her love of nature. Jessie has been a registered nurse for 12 years and was a field nurse during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She lived on the east coast before coming back to her home in Kansas City eight years ago. As a child, she spent her summers with her grandparents in Georgia exploring the outdoors. She’s looking to get back in touch with that side of herself.

Braving the Heights at Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park

Kinga and Jessie meet up with Thaddeus Odenweller, an instructor at Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park, to help Jessie dip her toe back into the adventure pond. Together, Kinga and Jessie brave their fear of heights as they tackle dangling obstacles high in the air. The treetop adventure course has five different courses, 45 different obstacles, a Tarzan jump and five zip lines.

Bowfishing at Smithville Lake
📍 Stained Water Bowfishing, Smithville, MO
Just 20 miles north of Kansas City, Kinga and Jessie meet Bryan Wilson, owner of Stained Water Bowfishing, at Smithville Lake. Stained Water Bowfishing is a full-service bowfishing charter. They offer bowfishing trips on all the lakes and rivers in Missouri. Kinga and Jessie try their hand at shooting carp at night in the moonlight glow.

Indoor Skydiving at iFly Indoor Skydiving
📍iFly Indoor Skydiving – Kansas City, Overland Park, Kansas
Kinga and Jessie head inside for an indoor skydiving adventure with all of the excitement but none of the fear of jumping out of a plane. Flight instructors put guests in a flight suit and then guide them as they take flight in iFly’s state-of-the-art wind tunnels. Jessie gets the chance to feel light and free and fly around like a superhero.
