Jump in for a quick Google search and, chances are, you won’t find much about Mimi’s Modern.
A quiet, but thoughtful endeavor from the folks behind Market St Grocery, this approachable, lowkey lobby concept is now open downtown inside the foyer level of 11 Stanwix St.
Know Before You Go – Mimi’s Modern
For now, Mimi’s Modern is open Monday thru Friday (7am to 7pm).
Their morning offerings include a full espresso program, similar to its sister concept located inside Market St Grocery. You can order coffee, lattes, cortados and espresso pulls from their La Colombe sourced selections.
Mimi’s food menu, although limited, includes a selection of charcuterie, as well as salads and the following sandwiches:
Head to Mimi’s for drinks and you’ll note a respectable offering of red, white, rose and sparkling wines, along with a dessert wine. Beer selections rotate weekly and there are five choices of cocktails served using Pennsylvania-made spirits as well.

Furniture and Design
According to Mimi’s team member Thomas ‘Vaughn’ Alexander Kelly, the space contains Dutch-inspired lighting and design elements.
“The long tables were sourced from Holland,” Kelly says. “We plan to add soft (lounge style) seating in the next few weeks as well.”
The general seating area is great for groups, offsite meetings and happy hour mingling. The downtown-centric location makes it ideal for that quick, after work drink.
Happy Hour and Jazz Night
Mimi’s advertises its happy hour from 5pm to 7pm (Mon thru Fri). You can enjoy Jazz Night at Mimi’s from 4pm to 7pm every Wednesday.
Our pick from the menu
Hesitant to order? We recommend “The Pink Drink” which contains pink lemonade, vodka and fresh rosemary all topped off with club soda. Super simple, refreshing and approachable.
