We rounded up all the Pittsburgh soap makers! Here’s how you can shop local while ya worsh your hands.

As we’ve all gained familiarity with social distancing guidelines and mask wearing, let us not lose sight of the OTHER proven, effective way to prevent the spread of germs: handwashing.

Read on for a way to support local makers and pick up some Pittsburgh made soap.
Do I need antibacterial soap? Nope.
Good news for local soap. According to the CDC, you do not need to use antibacterial soap to get your hands clean. Per the CDC website:
“To date, studies have shown that there is no added health benefit for consumers (this does not include professionals in the healthcare setting) using soaps containing antibacterial ingredients compared with using plain soap”
