Home Team: throwback vintage looks for the Steelers season opener

Very Local teamed up with PGH Creative and four Pittsburgh vintage sellers to style our best throwback outfits. Here’s where you can shop the looks.

The boys are back in town.

On Sunday, Sept. 8, the Pittsburgh Steelers kickoff the 2019 NFL season with a road matchup against the New England Patriots.

The good guys return to the cradle of Heinz for their home opener on Sunday, Sept 15. Which is the perfect amount of time to style your gameday outfits.

The Vintage Scrimmage

In the spirit of vintage and of yinz, Very Local worked with PGH Creative to style our best throwback looks that celebrate a new season of Steelers football.

Instead of shopping for new sportswear – that is often Made in China or non-sustainably manufactured – our hope is that Pittsburgh seeks out the second hand finds that rekindle old memories and spark joy of seasons past.

Scroll through and admire the fits. We’ve categorized each of the looks by vintage seller. Hit them up for pricing and availability.
