Stressed? Get in ‘downward dog’ with free puppy therapy, yoga and massages Friday

A post about Friday's De-Stress Day event on the mayor's official Facebook account read, "Sometimes you need to take a moment to breathe and de-stress."

Stressed? Has it be a rough week? Grateful I resisted the urge to use “ruff” there so you wouldn’t have yet another reason to groan?

Well, you have a chance to release all that anxiety and strain this Friday (June 29). Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s office and Fit NOLA are hosting a “De-Stress Day” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the steps of City Hall steps, on Duncan Plaza and on the 10th floor of 1340 Poydras Street.

A post about the event on the mayor’s official Facebook account read, “Sometimes you need to take a moment to breathe and de-stress.”

The event will include pet therapy (puppies!), massages, health screenings and yoga. The Braun Wood Duo will also perform live as everyone lets loose. Bonus: The participating pets are also up for adoption, in case you fall in love and cannot bear to part with them as you cuddle with them and lower your stress levels.

The De-Stress Day is open to the public and free of charge.
