Hey there! We’re so glad you made it here to Very Local New Orleans, your ultimate source for all the best that our city has to offer. (Here, we poured you a cocktail, and we promise you’re going to love it.)

In your Very Local newsletter, you will always find our picks for the city’s coolest happenings and events that you may never have heard of, profiles of the people that make New Orleans the greatest city on Earth and some closer looks at the icons and institutions we hold so dear.

We’ll tell you the best places to eat and drink, what’s worth the money and which new spots you should just go ahead and avoid. We will always be straight up with you and will always listen to what you have to say, and even the way you say it. Check out our feature and homage to New Orleans accents here. (See? We told you that you’d love it. Stick with us. We’ll tell you where to get that cocktail, how it’s made and the best happy hours with it on the menu.) We’ll gather the slices of life that only we can truly understand. Don’t worry. It’s just us in here. We aren’t here to woo tourists or even talk to them, for that matter. Very Local is all about you, the real New Orleanians.

At Very Local New Orleans, just like in our great city, we have something for everyone– from those who grew up here to those who just landed a few months ago and already know they could never live anywhere else. We will deep dive into every nook and cranny of each New Orleans neighborhood, sharing the best picks for things to do there and chatting it up with you, the neighbors who make your neighborhood so unique.

We are committed to amplifying the voices that may sometimes go unheard, to helping you live your best NOLA life and to holding up a mirror to the city we love just as much as you. We look good, New Orleans. It’s time that an outlet reflects that. That’s exactly what we are here to do.

So, take a stroll around. Meet the team. Tell us what you think. Get comfortable. Finish that cocktail. (We see you sippin’ and trying to be cute.) It’s on us. This is going to be a good time.
