We at Very Local New Orleans held our very first burlesque workshop and it was a bust. Well, there were several busts and even pasties.

THE incomparable Trixie Minx and her fun and fiesty fellow burlesque dancers, Roxie LeRouge and Mamie Damed led a workshop which promoted body positivity, owning one’s sexuality and the art of the tease.

Attendees learned everything from how to glide, how to stand, how to use boas in a seductive burlesque dance and how to use massive feathered fans to cover up their “naughty bits” while twirling about a stage.

Afterwards, the three vivacious vixens showed everyone how it’s done in their own mini-show, shown below.
