Twelfth Night

It’s Carnival Time! Sunday marks is the twelfth night after Christmas, but the celebration also goes by King’s Day. It’s when the Three Kings were said to visit Jesus in Bethlehem, but for New Orleanians, it marks the official beginning of Carnival season. There’s plenty of ways to celebrate, including the Phunny Phorty Phellows parade along the St. Charles streetcar line, or the Joan of Arc parade in the French Quarter.
