What: New Orleans Tattoo Arts Convention
When: Sept 6 -8, varying hours
Where: New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
Price: $20 day pass, $40 3-day pass
This conventions brings together hundreds of tattoo artists in one place, including past contestants of reality-show “Inkmaster.” Pro tip: if you’re planning on getting some new ink, bring cash. What: The Sting Ring – A premier boxing event
When: 7 p.m. – Midnight
Where: The Sugar Mill

The seventh annual Downriver Festival celebrates the environmental, cultural, and economic impact of the Mississippi River and the land it built through live music, cooking demonstrations, presentations, panels, and walking tours that explore this year’s theme: seafood. The Saints Season Kick-Off Pep Rally is taking place on Fulton Street in New Orleans with performances by Choppa, Kermit Ruffins, Rockin Dopsie Jr, Partners-n-Crime & the Big EZ Band, Cupid & the Dance Party Express, Jonny Sketch& the Dirty Note J & the Causeways, Big 6 Brass Band, Angela Bell, and more.
