⌚😩 Waiting Is The Hardest Part

by Clint Durrett | January 17, 2019

It’s true. We’re impatient, and it’s working our nerves like when dashing out to wherever top-secret locale you heard from your friend’s co-worker’s hip nephew that you could get a Dong Phuong king cake to only learn that they, too, are sold out. (nah, we ain’t bitter one bit) On top of that, the Saints are a ram’s hair away from the big Lombardi showdown. And after flying higher than an eagle and the Philly wind beneath our wings taking the Black and Gold to the next level, the RAMifications have left us in just wanting more. One could say we’re RAMbunctious. Ya herd?

Here’s how to fill the time while we wait.

ALL. THE. KING. CAKES.

There’s a LOT of king cake out there. Even so-called crawfish bread “savory” cakes. We’re going on an adventure to try as many as we possibly can fit into our drooling, sugar-craving faces. This sweet sojourn this season will be one of creative confection consumption. Prepare your pants to get stretchy.

Get It Ready, Ready

I know we just talked about eating all that king cake and drinking it in. But there’s also that tux or gown you have stashed away in your closet, whispering a soft and unnerving “yoohoo!” every time you take a bite of that royal sugar-filled euphoric dough. We spoke to Master Basjons Jordon on how to stay fit in this city. He’ll be teaching our kickboxing event TONIGHT, with DJ Jubilee keeping us in rhythm.

Quit Your Day Job

Slaving away and running a side hustle is tough. However, it’s not impossible. We spoke to April Brooks who, just two months ago, quit her day job because the Who Dat Nation showed up and made her dreams come true for her business NolaHatPlug. Check out her inspiring tale of becoming her own boss and on her way to building an empire.
