Looking to get fit for the summer? Still wary of COVID-19 or just looking for some sunshine while you sweat? Here are some Boston free summer workouts across the city so you can keep moving all season long!

Seaport Sweat
May 2 to Sept. 29
Boston’s biggest free workout series is back for its seventh season. They include weekly evening fitness classes and select Saturdays, featuring beats by DJ Sprino Monday to Thursday, and Kick It by Eliza on Saturdays. You’ll be sweating it out with Broncore Bootcamp and brand leaders such as Equinox, Lululemon and Outdoorvoices.
Fit Row Sweat Series Assembly Row
May 5 to Aug. 25
Assembly Row is bringing Boston a five-in-one fitness concept that branches from boxing to cycling to pilates! They bring in Title Boxing, Pure Barre and Orange Theory instructors to get the calories burning. Relax with live music and treat yourself to local food after.
Summertime at the Street
June 10 to Sept. 25
Make sure you sign up for the free classes ranging from yoga to bodyweight training at Summertime at the Street. Shake your stress away with dance cardio classes by Thrillfit. (Make sure you bring your sneakers and a water bottle, you might be twerking!) Looking for something to calm you down? They also have yoga under the stars!
Boston Park’s Summer Fitness
All Public Parks Throughout the City
June 5 to Oct. 1
Offering both live and virtual classes, the Boston Park Series features yoga, barre, high-intensity interval training, and dance classes in every park throughout the city. Maybe try something new with salsa classes, Tai Chi, or an Afrobeat bootcamp. They even feature family classes, so you can bring the whole team with you!
Fit at the Pru
June 5 to Aug. 28
Go to the Pru’s South Garden every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. to experience different heart-pumping workouts hosted by Under Armour and Flywheel Sports. Each week will feature a different special giveaway and prize, so don’t miss it!
Greenway Fitness Series
June 3 to Sept. 26
Enjoy the sunshine and breeze of the Greenway while walking the Armenian labyrinth or lunchtime yoga. Get your heart racing with Zumba or high-intensity interval training workouts by Healthworks throughout the summer.
Esplanade Association Free Summer Fitness Series
July 16 to Sept. 15
Hang out near the Charles for Zumba by Healthworks, sunset yoga with Sara DiVallo, or a hard-hitting boot camp by Lynx Fitness Club. You’ll be able to watch the paddleboarders and crew teams workout on the water as you get your own workout going on land.
Free Backyahd Outdoor Fitness
May 19 to Sept. 18
If you don’t have a lot of time but want to fit in a quick workout, go to Dorchester for a 30-40 minute cardio burn put on by Big Coach V. They feature bodyweight and cardio training for anyone on the go!
Waterfront Wellness Series
Put on by The Anthem Group, come to the old Navy yard every Saturday morning at 10 a.m., check out the varying workouts, incorporating resistance exercises, aerobic movements, and bodyweight training, all featuring upbeat music on the water.
