The 2018 Essence Festival kicks off in New Orleans after Independence Day, and we are ready to shake the Dome, especially when THE Ms. Jackson steps onto the Main Stage.
In 2017, more than 470,000 people came out just for Essence Fest’s nightly concert series, and that’s not even counting the thousands of others who stepped into the transformed Convention Center for the all the Essence Fest daytime festivities.
This year looks like it will only be bigger with artists like Mary J. Blige, The Roots, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, Eykah Badu and Ms. JACKSON! (Yeah, we said it.)
We’re excited. So excited we just can’t wait for the escapade to begin. So here is a playlist we’re listening to on Spotify in the Very Local New Orleans office, but you can play it “anytime and any place.” Below are some of the highlights.
